Recently we had some issues with downloads that could seriously affect our business. We decided not to give any download link at all, and deleted all download stuff in all sites. You can repost the resource after deleting the download link and rewriting it.

Hello Kiran,
Kumar is right in saying that we are facing some problem due some of the articles posted earlier with download link. I don't know whether your article falls in that category or not but if it does then its will be a good step to remove that downloading link.
AS the popular saying goes "a stitch in time saves nine". so better take the corrective action today to avert any serious consequences. Also I think its always better to switch to best practices.
If you are unfamiliar with the rules and you make mistakes, its fine but you should not make mistake once you are familiar with the rules.
