Cold Waves in North India

Hi friends, in this resource we will discuss about the one of the dangerous natural threat which virtually creating a lot of problem in most part of India, especially North India and it is none other than the dangerous cold waves. Most of the Northern parts of India face this problem, especially in this month of the year, and Punjab is no exception for this. Recent reports say that people suffer a lot during the night times as the temperature goes down and reaching the minimum.

Almost all the cities in Punjab is suffering from the cold killer waves and the city of Amritsar suffers the worst as the temperature goes down as low as 1.04 degree Celsius during night times. Apart from Amritsar other cities that suffers from cold waves includes,

Adampur - 5.8 degrees celsius

Halwara near Ludhiana, - 6.8 degrees celsius.

Bhatinda in the Malwa - 3.4 degrees celsius

Pathankot - 6.2 degrees celsius.

Chandigarh - 7.0 degrees celsius.

Even the temperature during the day time is very low and temperature recorded shows that a maximum was around 10 to 11 degree celsius in most of the cities. Added to these worries, The MET office at Adampur, believes the foggy condition will continue for few more days.

So let us hope that the temperature returns to normal very soon and the people does not suffer due to these cold waves.
