Ingredients required to make Punjabi chicken curry dish


  • 2 tablespoons of cumin seeds
  • 2 tablespoons of coriander seeds
  • 2 tablespoons of paprika
  • 1 teaspoon of chilli powder
  • Red food colour
  • Lime juice
  • 10 oz thick yoghurt
  • Salt to taste
  • 1.5 lb chicken, diced
  • 5 cloves garlic, chopped
  • 1 large onion, chopped
  • Half a cup of water
  • Oil for cooking

Preparation process of Punjabi chicken curry dish


  1. Grind all the spices and mix them with marinade ingredients.

  2. Submerge chicken pieces in the marinade and keep it in the refrigerator for 24 hours.

  3. Heat the required quantity of oil in a frying pan until it becomes very hot. Put the Chicken in oil and stir it vigorously for about 5 minutes. Remove chicken from the pan.

  4. Take Chopped onion and garlic and fry them until they turn brown and return chicken with any remaining marinade and water.

  5. Cook the chicken with simmer flame until chicken is cooked and sauce is nice and thick.




The tasty thick chicken curry dish is ready and you can enjoy it with with naan or rice.
