On the Closing Ceremony of Shaheed-E-ajam Bhagat Singh Games, 2011 the Jalandhar team got the highest number of gold medals with 22 to be precise alongwith 10 silver and 17 bronze medals. Patiala and Ludhiana are on Second and third position in the Medal Tally respectively. Patiala grabs 17 gold, 7 Silver and 7 Bronze, whereas Ludhiana got 12 Gold, 11 Silver and 17 Bronze.
This was the First this type of Games Event in the Punjab State to improve the sports standard of the region. As the Opening Ceremony was remembered for the performance of Bollywood Actor Akshaya Kumar, it was the Deol family who appear in the Closing Ceremony of this Event.
