The Ten Sikh Gurus of Sikhism

Founded by the Sri Guru Nanak Dev ji in the fifteenth century Punjab, Sikhism (Punjabi: ਸਿੱਖੀ) is a monotheistic religion, worshipping Ek Omkar or One God. Sikh means disciple, which in turn derives from discipline; and fittingly the Sikhs believe in a simple, disciplined and pious life to acquire salvation in life. The ten Sikh Gurus were the pioneers of Sikhism, followed by their holy scripture Guru Granth Sahib Ji, decreed by the Tenth Guru Gobind Singh Ji as the final Guru of the Sikhs.
