Gurdwara Bangla Sahib is associated with the Eighth Guru of Sikhism, Guru Har Krishan Ji. There is a large pond inside the Gurdwara. The water of this pond, known as Sarovar, is called as Amrit. Many people take this sacred water of pond as Charnamrit and it is believed that a continuous bath of 40 days in this pond can cure all the physical problems of a person.

As an estimate, the kitchen of Gurdwara serves approx. 8,000 people daily.

In art museum of Gurdwara Bangla Sahib, you can see the manuscripts of Sukhmani Sahib and Japji Sahib written by Guru Arjan Dev ji and a small Granth Sahib. There are many more things in this art gallery which are worth seen.

Before entering into Gurdwara, every person either male or female have to remove their shoes and cover their head with a cloth. There is also a small water small present before the entrance of main Gurdwara. Each person keeps their foot in this canal to wash them and then climb upstairs towards the Gurdwara.

The interior of the main Gurdwara is worth seen. Every devotee coming out of the Gurdwara is served with Suji ka halwa.
