PU school of communication studies 2011 recruitment details


The jobs in the School of Communication Studies (PU Community Radio Station) will be for one year on a contract basis and may or may not be extended after the contract period. The PU 2011 job vacancy for which the applications are sought for are as given below:

Panjab University radio station jobs qualification & eligibility criteria


The qualifications or eligibility criteria for the Station Manager post are:

  • The candidate must have a postgraduate degree in Mass Communication with a minimum of 55% marks from any recognised university or institution.
  • The candidate must have at least five years' working experience as the programming head or producer in a radio station.
  • The candidate must possess the knowledge of scheduling software, programme production, planning as well as marketing.
  • The candidate must have the working knowledge of on air software such as RCS or NEXGEN as well as various editing software.


The qualifications or eligibility criteria for the Technician (full time) post are:

  • The candidate must pass the Plus Two level with science.
  • The candidate must have a diploma in Radio / Telecommunication / Electrical / Electronics Information Technology / Electrical Communication Engineering / Sound Recording and Sound Engineering, from any university or institute that is recognised by the Government of India.


The alternative criteria for the Technician (full time) post are:

  • The applicant must pass the Plus Two level.
  • The candidate must have at least two years' working experience in radio or broadcasting industry with special experience of sound recording. Person having good knowledge of audio software will be preferred.


The qualifications or eligibility criteria for the Technician (part time) post are same as those of the full time technician.
